Jenison is a growing community that offers access to great schools, parks, and recreational opportunities. It’s no wonder that many people are eager to call this place home. Some of my favorite things about living here include:

  1. Located in between Grand Rapids and Holland. It’s easy to gain a commute to either area via 196.
  2. Our school district, Jenison Public Schools, offers a lot to offer, including the popular Spanish Immersion Program.
  3. Our community pool. Located in the high school, the Jenison Aquatic Center is a beautiful facility that can accommodate both short and long course meets. It is home to the junior high and high school swim, dive & water polo teams, the community swim team (JAWS), and open for the community for recreational use.
  4. The many parks and recreational opportunities. There is something for everyone: splash pads, walking paths and have trails, dog parks, a beach, fishing, playgrounds, etc.
  5. Jenison Center for the Arts. I have attended both school-related and community events in this gorgeous facility.
  6. The Georgetown Township Library is a gorgeous facility that houses many programs including Farmer’s Markets during the warmer seasons.
  7. The new Wildcat Fieldhouse was completed in January 2023 and provides an incredible learning and training space for Jenison students. From year-round athletics to marching band, the 75yd indoor turf field, two-lane track, batting cages, pole vault pit, and two large classrooms, the Wildcat Fieldhouse is a premier facility that continues to raise the bar at Jenison Public Schools.
  8. Community Events such as the Pink Out Games to raise money for families going through cancer, Kid Cat Game involving the Elementary schools, and the Wildcat Festival.
  9. The enduring small-town feel. Despite the area’s growth and development, Jenison has managed to retain its close-knit community atmosphere. This small-town vibe fosters strong connections among residents, making it a welcoming and friendly place to call home. Whether you’re attending local events, strolling through the parks, or simply enjoying a quiet evening, you’ll experience the warmth and charm that comes with the small-town lifestyle here in Jenison.

Whether you’re looking for excellent schools, recreational opportunities, or the charm of a small-town community, Jenison has something to offer everyone. Come experience the wonderful lifestyle this area provides.
